Our Story

The moment Siana set foot in Casa Om Potomac, she declared,

"This is a summer camp." She was five and likely wearing a mini mouse suite.

I said, "No munchkin. This is a yoga retreat center." 

She said "No papa. It's a camp for kids!". Sensing her certainty, I said, "Sure Siana. it's a summer camp too". 

The first groups were a disappointment. Each time they'd arrive she'd say " Are there kids ?" 

Mostly it was adults. We would host them all together. 

Some would love to play and appreciated the family dynamic.

But it's a yoga retreat. 

Sometimes the guests didn't want kids around. We respected that. 

I pulled Siana to the side one time and I said “Kiddo. You go to understand. You can't make the guests play with you. They aren't here to entertain us. 

They paid us. We entertain them." 

She got this puzzled look and said, "I dont like this." 

Years passed. She grew up. Yet she'd bring it up. 

She'd say "Where are the kids?"

Finally, when she was 8, she got this serious look on her face. She said, "We're not really going to do it are we?!"

Then she stared into my soul. That look when you want to know, is this guy lying to me?! 

I said "Alright. Let's do it. But we have to do it together." And let's make it the best kids summer camp ever. She smiled real big.

So we are now launching the 3rd annual Casa Om Kids Camp. Our goal is to show an equally amazing time to both kids and parents. 

This week aims to bring together the best of yoga, circus, arts, music, dancing, creative expression, excellent meals, wake surfing on the river, exploring ancient caves, gymnastics, sports, games and so much more. 

What is truly unique about this camp is it's equally geared towards kids and their parents. It's a chance for you to have a yoga retreat and have so much fun with your child and with the community. 

For the first time ever, I will share a new workshop for the adults called Dharmify Parenting. We will use all our tools from Dharmify to look deep into our goals as parents. It will be an intentional time to allocate our resources to raise our kids in the most thoughtful way possible. 

There will be a strong yoga retreat schedule for the parents and a totally immersive schedule for the kids.
